FROM WHATEVER angle namin tingnan, there’s a weird side to the “common law marriage” (remember, hindi pa sila kasal) between Paulo Avelino and LJ Reyes.
Mula sa may-kayang pamilya si LJ whose mother is based in US. Sa ngayon, ang bahay na tinitirhan ng magdyowa somewhere in Fairview, Quezon City is like a huge playground for a family composed of three playmates (si Paulo, si LJ at ang kanilang anak).
As we all know, Paulo—a homegrown GMA artist na produkto ng Starstruck—has found the proverbial greener pastures on the other side of the fence, ang ABS-CBN. LJ, however, has slugged it out with GMA yet her career has not taken a better turn, steady but stagnant.
Bagama’t nasa magkaibang istasyon obviously with conflicting taping schedules, Paulo still goes home to their Fairview love nest. Ito’y sa kabila ng maugong na tsismis noon pa man that the actor is a kept man of one of the gay TV executives.
This is not the main issue though.
Still unmarried, kung totoong “iresponsable” si Paulo, LJ should rethink her decision kung itutuloy pa nila ang kanilang balak magpakasal, as we see early signs of a possible separation in the future if such “weird” domestic setup persists.
UNTI-UNTI AY lumalaki na ang pangalan ng child actress na si Mona Louise Rey, this time she graces primetime TV minus Jillian Ward. It would be unfair though to compare both child prodigies, pero malakas ang dating ng mestisahing curly-haired girl who confesses to suffering from juvenile diabetes yet sa kanyang murang edad, she has learned to live with her congenital disease.
Controlling her blood sugar is not easy as it seems for this smart tyke. Mona gets her insulin shots (yes, nag-i-insulin na ang bata) at least three times a days which she administers herself. Ini-inject niya ‘yon sa kanyang pigi, na noong una’y hindi pa niya maunawaan kung bakit kailangan siyang magturok.
Karaniwan sa mga bata (even oldsters alike) ang may understandable fear of injection, the mere sight of a sharp needle that is thrust into any part of the body sends them running away from it. Pero sanay na raw si Mona, having been taught by her parents na kung hindi siya iiniksiyunan ay hindi gagaling ang kanyang sakit.
Whereas her blood sugar would shoot up to 650 before, ngayon daw ay kontrolado na ito, thanks to the medical procedure na sinusubaybayan din ng kanyang mga magulang. Our heart goes out to children, kaya sana’y mas normal at ailment-free ang buhay ni Mona who deserves the best of what a childhood can offer.
EXPECT A fun-filled month-long celebration ng kaarawan ni Willie Revillame sa Wil Time Big Time this October, itsura ng isang-buwan ding pagdiriwang ni Kuya Germs ng kanyang birthday sa Walang Tulugan.
In Kuya Willie’s case, tiyak na walang palitan ng remote control lest you will missed more surprises and prizes up for grabs to the viewers’ delight. As usual, kabilang sa mga papremyo ay house and lot at Foton van over and above huge cash prizes.
Now that the number of big stars who have transferred to TV5 has risen in numbers, expect starrier WTBT episodes.his early, creative brainstorming takes longer and more tedious than usual in ensuring Kuya Willie’s birthday celebration to be an event that will go down in TV history…TV history raw, o!
