BINIGYAN ng X rating ng Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) ang pelikulang “Bliss” na pinagbibidahan ni Iza Calzado at idinirek ni Jerrold Tarog.
“Porn star ba ako?” ang natatawang reaksyon ng aktres sa nangyari.
Ang “Bliss” ay entry ng Pilipinas sa nakaraang Osaka Asian Film Festival at nagpanalo kay Iza ng kanyang first ever international acting award bilang Best Performer.
Nag-usap na si Iza at Direk Jerrold na iaapila nila sa MTRCB ang X rating na ibinigay sa pelikula. Handa rin si Iza na makipag-dialogue sa MTRCB members.
“I understand where they are coming from, because there is nudity, there is violence, there is blood, there is cursing — all of that — in the movie. However, I also have a few questions. How come a foreign film is allowed to be shown here like ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’? Why was it shown?
“Our film, tackles abuse in society. It’s supposed to wake you up kung ano ‘yung cycle of abuse na nararanasan ng tao. So, these images sa pelikula, they are not intended to arouse you. They are intended to disturb you and it’s supposed to make you think,” katuwiran ni Iza.
Patuloy pa niya, “Hindi ba puwedeng R-18 man lang? Kasi parang inisip ko, kung X agad, are you saying na ‘yung 18 year-old who is already a responsible adult are not educated enough and will not be able to comprehend that this is not something I should do? ‘Yon lang. That’s just my take on it,” pahayag pa ng aktres.
Umaasa pa rin ang aktres na mabigyan sila ng chance na maipalabas sa May 10.
“Let’s not say naman na X agad and this film cannot be shown. We would like for our film to be shown,” giit pa niya.
