HINDI NAGDALAWANG-ISIP si Rhian Ramos nang i-offer ni Direk Jeffrey Hidalgo at Roy Sevilla Ho ang indie film na Silong ng SQ Film Laboratories at Black Mamba Pictures. Kakaiba raw ang istorya kahit may daring scene siya with Piolo Pascual. Inamin ni Rhian na first time siyang magpapaka-daring sa pelikula. Kailangan daw sa eksena kaya uminom muna ito ng red wine before the take para mawala raw ‘yung kaba at nerbiyos.
“Piolo is such a gentleman, inalalayan niya ako sa scene namin. Before the take, hinahayaan muna niya akong ma-relax.
“When I was doing it, sabi ni Jepoy (Direk), sabi niya, ‘ibaba pa.
Sinabi ni Rhian, marami siyang natutunan kay Piolo as an actor. “He’s so intense and he’s focused… with me kasi before I do a scene, I really put in my head. I get nervous about doing a scene specially when it’s important to me. If I feel I’m gonna have a hard time, I feel nervous before hand. I don’t see that happen with him. The second you hear action, he doesn’t really take much time to warm up into the scene. He’s intense right away which I don’t have also. It takes me awhile to warm-up into what’s happening in the scene. Parang, I’ll wait for the scene to tell the story. This guy is so focused, his eating me alive. This movie, it’s going to end my career. But afterwards… it’s because he was so convincing to me, and later on becomes easy when I forgot all the back part. You know, what you gonna look like in the movie. You just go into the scene and believe it’s happening. It becomes simple like that. guess that’s the practice and learning that I got.”
Bukod sa pelikulang Silong, may indie film pang ipalalabas si PIolo with John Lloyd Cruz. Palibhasa kakaiba ‘yung mga indie project na dumarating sa binata, as an actor, challenge ‘yun para sa kanya. “Honestly until now, basing on that glory, you know after Breakup List, and then Silong comes up in Cinemalaya, and it all comes into place, I feel bless about it. It just happens one by one and so nakakatuwa lang tignan doing different roles sa pelikula pa.”
As an actor, as a producer and as a director, mas malaki ang kita ng artista, not for anything. I don’t think I have that gift. I don’t think that’s my call.”
