Sa kauna-unahang pagkakataon, in his 20 active years in showbiz, ngayon lang – if I’m not mistaken – sasabak si Erap sa isang comedy film from beginning to end. Ito ang Ang Tanging Pamilya, a Star Cinema offering.
Hindi kaila kay Erap na ang kanyang love interest dito na si Ai-Ai delas Alas is a staunch Noynoy supporter. Patunay lang ito that times change even in politics.
Bit of trivia: Ai-Ai ang I gravitate towards a common circle of college friends, kabilang dito si Laarni Enriquez, one of Erap’s beloved women in his life. By virtue of that enduring college friendship, hindi ba dapat ay suportado ni Ai-Ai si Erap?
In fairness though to the former leader, hindi niya inihahalo ang pulitika sa kanyang showbiz career. Iginagalang niya si Ai-Ai kung iba man ang kinaaaniban nitong partido.
“Magnanimity” is what Erap is all about. Kung hindi ba naman, dinalaw pa niya ang studio ng Wowowee after ng presscon ng Ang Tanging Pamilya, considering na ang host nito ay identified sa magiging katunggali niya na si Senator Manny Villar!
If only for this, marami ang humanga kay Erap. With a comeback movie after 20 years, malamang isa na naman itong Star Cinema blockbuster.
PROOF THAT TV5’S Talentadong Pinoy is making huge waves ay ang tema ng inaanunsiyo na nitong bonggang-bonggang Christmas party for the press on December 3.
Last year, of all of the TV networks ay nag-buena mano ang Singko sa kanilang pagdiriwang. Looks like history repeats itself, but this time, TV5 is heavily banking on the viewership strength of the Ryan Agoncillo-hosted talent search program.

KULANG NA LANG isuka ng staff ng Starstruck si Rich Asuncion. Feeling sikat na raw kasi, kaya very uncooperative sa trailblazing primer that introduced the Season V batch.
Weno? As if naman “made” na si Rich, eh, she’s just Aljur Abrenica’s KEPT girl like a jalousy samshed and broken.
