Congratulations kay Richard Gomez who recently graduated sa kanyang MBA (Master in Business Administration) na nagkaroon ng graduation rites sa PICC last April 27.
Nakapa-proud sa mga artista na nagsusumikap na bukod sa kanilang natapos na-course sa kolehiyo ay nagsumikap pa rin na i-level up ang kanilang edukasyon.
Sa kaso ni Goma na super busy ngayon sa kanyang pangangampanya bilang mayor ng Ormoc City and on the side ay may gawaing pang-showbiz na binubuno, mahirap talagang pagsabayin ang pagkuha ng master’s degree.
Text message nga ng aktor sa amin na dalawang taon niyang tinapos ang kanyang MBA. Sa sariling salita ni Goma, “Ginapang ko talaga para matapos ko, kasabayan ng pag-aartista ko.”
Ayon sa aktor: “Kasabay ng movies ko na ‘The Trial’ (with Gretchen Baretto, Sylvia Sanchez and Jonh Lloyd Cruz) at ‘The Janitor’ (with Dennis Trillo), The Love Affair (with Dawn Zulueta and Bea Alonzo) at teleseryeng ‘You’re My Home’ ay binuno ko ang MBA ko.
“While on the set working, I would read and write in between sequences and while campaigning. Everything. Extra difficult when I started the campaign trail because of puyat. I thought hindi ko matatapos ‘yung thesis ko plus other requirements sa school.”
Mensahe pa ni Goma sa amin: “Gusto kong pasalamatan ang mga tumulong sa akin while doing my research. Una sa lahat na, very supportive sa akin while I was doing my research and my thesis is my beloved wife Lucy, my daughter Juliana, without both of whom I would not have had the fortitude and inspiration to finish everything that I have started, and to finish them well.
“My greatest thanks go out to Perry Deen, Matt Torres, Jun Da Jose, Yeye Vivas, Malou Manalo, Cecil Nidea, Dennis Vivas, Bambit Gaerlan, Bombom Rojas, and Marilor Gutierrez, and the rest of the congressional staff, without whose assistance they so seriously provided, my tasks would have been far more difficult and daunting.
“Much gratitude goes to Atty. Nolitz Quilang, Atty. Jasper Lucero, Atty. Rene Martinez, and Farica Zagambo.”
Gusto ring pasalamatan ni Goma ang kanyang mga instructors, lecturers, and mentors na nagbahagi ng kanilang kaalaman sa kanya at sa mga kapwa niya estudaynte. Sabi nga niya sa kanyang mensahe: “Our minds are so much richer for your gift of wisdom.”
Bukod sa mga nabanggit na mga tao, gusto ring pasalamatan ng aktor ang mga taga-Lake Danao at mga taga-Ormoc. Sabi ni Goma: “Both are source if inner peace and my reason for doing a lot of things I am doing right now. And most of all thank you to the great Lord God, without whom nothing is ever possible.”
Sa kanyang thesis na “Development of Business Strategy Based on the Present Status and Impact of Eco-tourism in Lake Danao and Ormoc”, sigurado na malaking tulong ito sa City of Ormoc (sa Leyte) para sa planong kaunlaran ni Goma, kung sakaling mahalal siya sa darating na eleksyon.
Sa darating na eleksyon, makalalaban ni Goma ang incumbent mayor ng lunsod.
By the way, sa kabila ng kaabalahan ng aktor para bunuin ang kanyang thesis sa kabila ng kaliwa’t kanang trabahong showbiz at panangampanya ay binigyan siya ng grade na 98% para sa kanyang thesis.
