AT FIRST, akala ko, Richard Gomez with wife Congresswoman Lucy Torres and their daughter Julianna was in Switzerland just to grace the invitation of Omega (one of the world expensive wrist watches) so that they can be part of the Omega International Celebrity Golf Tournament, kung saan both husband and wife are Philippine endorsers of the brand.
Sa katunayan, sa ilang pagkakataon at promotional events sa bansa, Goma and his former business partner Marilen Nuñez had a couple of golfing events, kung saan very supportive sa kanila ang kompanya.
But the Switzerland trip was just an iceberg of the couple’s short trip and at the same time holiday. Almost a month ago, they left Manila Sunday evening and stayed only for almost four days at bumalik din kaagad so that Goma can attend the media launch ng kanyang pelikulang The Love Affair with screen sweetheart Dawn Zulueta together with Bea Alonzo (showing na today, Wednesday).
“It was fun,” pagbabalita ni Goma sa amin thru Facebook. FB friends kami ng aktor na sa mga photo postings niya, nasusundan namin ang mga activities niya. Aside from golf, ang daming sports, kung saan involved si Goma. Nand’yan ang volleyball (with his team), fencing, track and fields, at angling (or fishing) na nasusundan namin thru photos sa kanyang social media account on FB and Twitter. Sa katunayan sa kanya yata nagmana ang nag-iisang anak na si Julianna sa pagiging active ng anak at pagiging sports enthusiast. If I’m not mistaken, his daughter plays soccer and fencing.
Akala namin, ang trip na ‘yun nina Goma, Lucy and Julianna, together with Marilyn was just to attend the sporting event.
Napag-alaman namin sa aktor mismo that the location of the event was the same location of their honeymoon ng misis niyang si Lucy almost 17 years ago. It was the summer of 1998, kung saan they stayed for two weeks and then went to Paris and London for another two weeks to continue their honeymoon.
In Crans-Montana, Switzerland nag-honeymoon ang bagong kasal, kung saan sa bayan ni Lucy sa Ormoc City, Leyte sila pinag-isang dibdib noon. The wedding was a big event sa Ormoc at halos lahat ng mga kababayan nina Lucy were invited to the grand wedding. Their wedding was a big story covered by the entertainment media and also by the lifestyle section of every magazines and newspapers in the country.
In Crans-Montana, the family enjoyed their short stay. “The place was so beautiful. Because of its beauty, it will always be part of my memory. It was also my chance to show our daughter Julianna, kung saan kami nag-honeymoon ng mom niya,” mensahe ni Goma sa amin sa FB.
“Juliana was so happy to be there and said that she likes the place so much. She was hoping we can stay longer but I promised that we will go back there. She also said that the place looks like a Christmas village with wonderful quaint shops.
“We were reminiscing all over the place while walking the streets of Crans Montana. So much has changed but it was a beautiful change. There are more shops and restaurant as compared to 17 years back. Before going to Crans-Montana, we spent two days in Geneva where we landed. We went around the city to do some shopping. We also took a boat ride around the famous and glorious Lake Geneva,” pagbabalita ng aktor sa amin sa FB while he was busy naman attending the promo of his movie The Love Affair.
They also visited the famous culinary and HRM school in Crans-Montana Le Roche. “One of the chef is a friend and he invited us to have lunch in that school and he also toured us to show the school in case Juliana would like to study there in the future,” kuwento ng aktor sa amin.
Pagmamalaki pa ni Goma na ang karanasan niya in joining such international tournaments is, “Always fun and at the same time nerve wracking. But the key is just to enjoy the game and always be proud that I play there not for myself but also for the country.”
