MULING NABUHAY ANG political maturity ni Ruffa Gutierrez, thanks to her dissociation from Kris Aquino na nakasama niya noon sa The Buzz. Ruffa’s color has changed from yellow to green; her presidential bet from Noynoy Aquino to Gibo Teodoro.
Hindi lang si Ruffa ang bilib – so goes his battlecry – sa galing at talino ni Gibo, kundi maging ang kanyang inang si Annabelle Rama at kapatid na si Raymond have become fans of the next leader of the land? Kung napanood n’yo ang Showbiz Central last Sunday, Raymond proudly wore Gibo’s green baller.
Hindi man kasi aminin ni Ruffa, she was a reluctant Noynoy supporter out of hiya na lang sa co-host n’ya noong si Kris, bukod pa sa pagiging moving force ni Kuya Boy Abunda sa kampanya nito. Nope, it was not a put-on act on Ruffa’s part, she was just being nice to Kris despite the latter’s not-so-nice image.
BROWSING THROUGH THE lineup ng mga guests ni Vice Ganda sa kanyang first major concert at the Big Dome provides a quaint mix of wholesome and nega stars.
Sa hanay ng mga goody-goody, nariyan sina Jaya, Pops Fernandez, Jon Avila at Jhong Hilario. On the opposite side, nariyan si Pooh who has become a swellhead, si Ethel Booba for her indiscretions at si Kean Cipriano na bastos at may unpaid utang pa sa dating girlfriend na si Arci Muñoz. Buti na lang, hindi na pumuwede si Chokoleit, yet another nega star who never made it dahil din sa kanyang kayabangan.
But with Vice Ganda at the center of two opposing forces, now a household name, tiyak na magiging positive ang resulta ng kanyang “May Nag-text… ‘Yung Totoo… Vice Ganda sa Araneta” despite its long title.
Set on May 15, five days after the fateful Election Day, for sure, isa sa mga sketches ng alaga ng kumpareng Ogie Diaz ay ang pang-ookray ng mga kumandidato. Let’s not forget that Vice Ganda is a product of stand-up comedy bars where “character assassination” is never a taboo, bagkus ay magkiklik sa mga manonood.

Kinabibilangan ito ng less than a dozen of popular actresses ganging up on fellow stars over cheap issues like men.
Isa sa mga biktima nito si Pauleen Luna, na ewan naman kung ano ang ipinagpuputok ng butse ng mga kaaway niya. Personally, I don’t know Pauleen well enough, but she’s both nice and decent. Pero gustuhin man niyang awayin din ang mga aktres na nagbu-bully sa kanya, she’s just a one-woman troop who can hardly defend herself.
Kadalasan, such animosities are borne out of inggit or insecurity or puwede ring lack of “bitter” things to do. Napaghahalata tuloy ang mga career-less stars na ito, how pathetic!
