PALABAS NA sa Netflix ang animated adaptation ng ‘Trese‘ na unang lumabas bilang isang comics series na likha ni Budjette Tan. Big deal ito para sa mga Pinoy animators dahil sa wakas ay ag talento at kuwento ng mga Pinoy ang mapapanood ng international audience.
Mapapanood ang Netflix sa iba’t ibang lenguahe: Filipino (Tagalog), English, Japanese atbp. Ang Kapamilya superstar na si Liza Soberano ang napili na gumanap bilang Alexandra Trese sa Philippine version habang ang Fil-American actress na si Shay Mitchell naman ang nagboses sa English version.
Maganda ang pagkakagawa ng animated series, pero may ilang loyal fans ng Trese komiks na nagbigay ng kanilang pahayag sa social media na ‘monotonous’ ang pagkakadeliver ni Liza Soberano ng kanyang mga linya. Halata raw na conscious ito at mas bagay daw sana kung sa ibang artista na laking Pilipinas na lang ibinigay ang proyekto.
Dinepensahan naman ng director/producer ng Trese na si Jay Oliva ang pagkakapili nila sa sikat na young actress sa pamamagitan ng series of tweets sa Twitter.
“When casting for the role of Alexandra, I spoke to creator @Budjette (Budgette Tan) about how he envisioned the character. He basically said that she’s like Batman/Bruce Wayne. She’s cold and unemotional at times because of all the things she’s experienced in life.
I’ve cast A LOT of Batman/Bruce Wayne’s in my career so I know a thing or two about tortured souls who persevere to do right and defend those who cannot defend themselves. Both @shaymitch and @lizasoberano brought unique performances that was better than I could have imagined.
So whether you like one more than the other or if you like them both, I think the thing to celebrate the most is that we have brought Filipino mythology and lore to the world and world is responding by how much they love it! Thank you Philippines, your support made this happen
On a side note, the other language actors who play Alexandra are pretty dang awesome too! Watching it in the other languages I actually forgot I worked on the show and it felt so new and fresh! Netflix dubbing team did an incredible job! “ pagtatapos nito.
Whether you like Liza’s dubbing or not, suportahan pa rin natin ang Trese sa Netflix. Kung hindi niyo bet ang boses ni Liza, puwede ninyo itong ilipat sa ibang lenguahe at i-on na lang ang English subtitles. Tapos!
