KONTROBERSYAL ang desisyon ni Bea Alonzo na lumipat sa GMA pagkatapos ng dalawang dekadang pananatili sa ABS-CBN. Samu’t sari ang reaksyon ng mga tao: May mga galit at kung anu-ano ang binabato sa aktres, habang marami rin ang masaya para sa bagong kabanata ng showbiz career ng dalaga.
Noong July 1 ay nag-upload ng isang ‘love letter’ para sa kanyang mga tagahanga si Bea. Dito ay nagbalik-tanaw siya sa kanyang humble showbiz beginnings at binalikan ang turning point ng kanyang pagsikat bilang isa sa pinakamamahal na bituin ng ABS-CBN.
“They trusted in me and helped me hone my talent. I will never forget everything that they have done for me,” Bea said, adding she wouldn’t be where she is today without the help of ABS-CBN’s “most talented writers, brilliant directors, and most professional co-actors.”
“I cannot forget the day that my life has changed because (ABS-CBN) trusted in me,” she added.
Patuloy niya, Hindi ko rin inaasahan na that has become my biggest gift—to touch people’s lives.With that, is one of the biggest responsibilities that I have to manage. I have to say that my fans are very important to me. They give me a sense of purpose, a sense of community.”
Kahit pa thankful ito sa ginawa ng ABS-CBN para sa kanyang karera, she also believes in “following my heart and purpose,” kaya lumipat na ito sa GMA-7.
“For many months, I have reflected on so many things about my life. I have also embraced many changes in my life. And after many months of reflection and negotiations, we have reached a decision,”
Dagdag pa niya, “I am an actress. I am here to create. That is my purpose. And that is my task. I owe that to my audience,”
Kahit na “goodbyes are painful,”, alam ni Bea na ang pagbabagong ito sa kanyang buhay will “lead me to a door of many opportunities and new learnings and growth.”
