BLIND ITEM: On purpose, may bahagyang panliligaw (read: misleading) ang item na ito. Kamakailan ay natuloy na rin ang naudlot na pagtatanghal ng isang sikat na personalidad sa isang napakalaking venue.
It will be recalled na nagkaroon ng major hitch kung bakit ang inaabangan sanang palabas na ‘yon failed to meet the audience’s expectations. Good thing, her fans perfectly understood her situation.
As a way to make amends, in fairness, nangako naman ang celebrity na itutuloy pa rin niya ang nabalam na performance, only at a later date.
Klaro sa mahabang emote sa Facebook account ni Sarah ang puno’t dulo ng kuwento sa umano’y paratang ng GMA which is asking her to pay P500,000 for a packed-up taping.
But there’s more to her litany. According to an insider identified with Sarah, she was made to come to Subic at 5 p.m. Alas-kuwatro pa lang daw ng hapon nang dumating siya roon, for the purpose of rehearsing a fight routine required of her scenes.
Sarah also had be made up and dressed in character, na sinunod naman daw niya.
For some reason, hindi agad nag-roll ang camera. After dinnertime na lang daw. Sarah agreed. Kaso, ang sinasabing makaraan ng hapunang taping had spilled over to 4 a.m. Ang nakadagdag pa raw sa problema ni Sarah, she had to be in Eat Bulaga ng mismong araw na ‘yon. Call time was 8 a.m. dahil kailangan pa niyang magpraktis for a production number.
Sarah then politely asked her handler through phone (who could not be reached) na kung maaari’y gawan ng paraan ang kanyang problematic schedule. Sa puntong ‘yon na raw nagpaalam si Sarah sa production staff if she could leave due to an equally important commitment.
Takang-taka si Sarah kung bakit pinalalabas ng GMA that she staged a walk-out, gayong kahit nagtatrabaho siya beyond the normal working hours — more than 24 hours straight — ay wala siyang karekla-reklamo.
Sarah is even humble enough to admit that she does not matter in the industry. Hindi naman daw siya sikat, but even then ay pinagbubutihan niya ang kanyang trabaho.
Sa ngayon, Sarah is already decided to leave showbiz (for good?). Stressed out, she’s planning to go to Switzerland… yes, alpas to the Alps!
What’s more revealing though sa Facebook post ni Sarah ay ang umano’y kalakaran with the way most of the GMA artists like her are being managed. Hindi niya masakyan kung bakit meron nang in-house na GMA Artist Center that deducts 25% in commission basis ay meron pang ICONS (managed by Bebong Muñoz) na kumakaltas naman ng kinse porsiyento.
By simple arithmetic, a total of 40% ang kaltasado sa kita ng bawat GMA talent na may tong-pats sa dalawang management agency. In fairness though to the top management, Bebong’s ICONS is not in any way affliated with the station’s Artist Center.
Really? How come that in one of our rare visits sa palapag ng GMAAC ay nakasalubong namin si Bebong?
