Kailangan mo itong i-shoot sa ring para ikaw ay makapuntos which is your main goal in the game.
At alam ito ni Sean Anthony, the Fil-Canadian cager for the Philippine Basketball Association’s Powerade Tigers.
Sean said he is enjoying his stay here because he finds the people and the culture amazing. “What I love about the Philippines is the family aspect. Everybody is so close here. Back home in Canada, family doesn’t (usually) stick together. I love the community spirit here. The food is amazing. The lively culture. It is very upbeat. Everybody is friendly. I like the tropical environment and the vibrant colors.”
He wants to try his luck on endorsing, doing commercial shoots or hosting. In fact, he is one of Backroom’s newest talents. “I think it’s fun and interesting. I like being in the limelight and entertaining. I am very social. At home, I am very low key but I like socializing especially when I’m out with friends,” he said.
Pero walang dapat ipag-alala ang kanyang mga fans dahil hindi naman nangangahulugan na iiwan na niya ang basketball which he describes as his No. 1 career and priority. “It goes with the success of being a PBA player. I mean showbiz complements being successful in what you do. The limelight is just the result of your success.”
Playing in the PBA has not only helped Sean get acquainted sa nakaaaliw at nakababaliw na mundo ng showbiz. Tinuruan din siya nitong bigyan ng importansiya ang mga fans who are the most important players in his journey to more fame and fortune. “The fans make our dreams possible. If you don’t treat them well… Nothing they do can tick me off.”
Kaibigan, usap tayo muli!
