SHAINA MAGDAYAO AND Jake Cuenca star in the latest horror-drama movie from Star Cinema titled Villa Estrella directed by Rico Ilarde. The movie is their second team-up after Your Song Presents: Million Miles Away.
“I play the role of Anna. Meron akong dream na hindi ko alam kung ano ang ibig sabihin. Mapupunta kami sa Villa Estrella at doon malalaman kung ano ang ibig sabihin ng dream. Doon din mangyayari ang lahat ng kababalaghan,” kuwento ni Shaina. “Medyo grayish ang character ko kasi meron akong bad and good side. I bring Shaina to Villa Estrella as a last effort to get one last chance with her because she is my ex-girlfriend,” said Jake.
The two are thankful for being given the chance to star in the movie. “Talagang kung hindi ka pa gumagawa ng pelikula sa Star Cinema, hindi mo pa masasabi na talagang ABS-CBN star ka. I feel very lucky na binigyan nila ako ng pelikulang ganito,” Jake enthused. Villa Estrella is his first movie with Star Cinema.
Shaina and Jake are two of the hottest young stars in the country today. Si Shaina ang isa sa mga bida sa number one afternoon teleserye na Kambal sa Uma while Jake stars in the number one primetime teleserye Tayong Dalawa.
Shaina flatly denied rumors na wala na raw siyang panahon kay John Prats dahil sa dami ng kanyang mga projects ngayon. “No. We’re both busy. Okay nga kasi we’re very blessed na pareho kami na maraming trabaho. We want to take advantage muna of the opportunities,” she explained.
Jake was once linked to Melissa Ricks pero sinabi nito na hindi na raw nagpapadala si Jake ng mga flowers and chocolates sa kanya. “Kapag kumatok ang pagmamahal sa akin talagang ie-embrace ko iyon. Wala pa, eh. Sa ngayon, I’m just very happy with what’s going on,” he said.
