Singer Edward Benosa has learned that there’s blessing in break-ups.
“Kasi ‘yung last relationship ko ay naisulat ko through a song, ‘yung song “Paglisan”. So, sumusulat ako hanggang sa nagulat ako I came up with that song,” he related during the official launch of his music video, “Puso Kong Ito” produced by Dannon Clothing.
He also wrote “Why Didn’t You Stay” after another break-up.
The singer is elated over his recent Star Awards for Music nomination for his music video “Puso Kong Ito” which made it to the Best Music Video category. Other nominees are Christian Bautista and Julie Anne San Jose, Vice Ganda, Matteo Guidecelli, Sam Concepcion, and Rivermaya.
The music video was done in three days and was directed by indie filmmaker Carlo Obispo.
He refused to comment on co-nominees for Star Awards for Music as “hindi ko pa napanonood ang music video ng iba.”
“Pero I believe na ang lamang ko is indie director ang gumawa. Para siyang short film, may story, may puso,” he stressed.
In the music video, Edward is joined by Abigail Oliveiro, Mark Sumaylo, and RK Bagatsing.
