AFTER THE outstanding performance ni Vince Tañada in the indie films Otso and Esoterica with Direk Elwood Perez, titigil na ito sa pag-aartista. Gusto muna niyang mag-concentrate sa theater as an actor-director and scriptwriter. “I want to concentrate in something I know I am truly blessed. But to tell you honestly, I don’t want to act in film. I don’t have any intension of joining showbusiness. I’m just here to serve the art. This particular movie “Otso”, I wrote the script. I’m a lawyer by profession,” he said.
“This is indie but when you talk to Elwood, iba siyang makipag-usap. Kapag iniisip ang lahat ng nangyari ito, it’s just part of the Filipino culture. But to tell you honestly, the product will speak for itself. ‘Yun lang naman ‘yun. I mean, this particular film is not made for the star.
All of his uncle and cousins are all lawyers. He’s father Antonio Tañada is used to be a politician but now he’s retired. Naging Mayor of Dumaca, Quezon in the 80’s.
Say ni Vince,“I started very young, I used to perform. I was part of a theater group in Entablado Pilipino. It was a long time ago in CCP. I played and then I joined singing group in La Salle, Kundirana, third year high school batch ‘91. I wrote the stage play “Bangkay” which won the Palanca.”
Lagi siyang nanonood like ‘yung theater play kong “Bangkay”. It’s an experimental play, ilang beses niyang pinanood ‘yan. I directed the play, I wrote it and at the same time, actor. That particular play won at the Palanca 2011-2012. I am successful and I can do a lot of things. A lots of director in the country now, cannot act. Maybe because of the physical, not the feature but the limitation. Ako, I act my own play, I did one frontal nudity in the play that Elwood never forgets,” pahayag ng actor.
May isinusulat ngang istorya ang actor/director, tailor-made for Ate Guy. If ever, gusto ni Vince na idirek si La Aunor in the near future.
