NAGBABALA ANG NAKARARAMING multi-sectoral group sa Camarines Sur na ang sinumang mambabatas at lokal na opisyal sa Bicol region na susuporta sa House Bill 4728 ay hindi makakakuha ng boto sa 2013 elections.
“By supporting HB 4728, they are virtually selling the province down the river. It is unconscionable betrayal of the will and interest of the people. They will have to face the grave political consequences,” batay sa inisyung statement ng Concerned Citizens of Camarines Sur (CCCS).
Binigyang-diin ng grupo na ang bill ang pipigil sa progreso na sumusulong sa Camarines Sur.
“Quantum leaps in business, eco-tourism, sports, delivery of basic services have been made by the provincial government. Long languishing in the cellar, the province is now in the progress radar of the country. Why remove it?” Pagdidiin ng grupo.
Ang babala ay inihayag kasunod ng mga balita na isa pang kinatawan mula sa Bicol, sa katauhan umano ni Rep. Rolando Andaya ang lumagda bilang suporta sa bill. Ang mga tumututol sa paghati ay pinangungunahan ni Gov. Raymund F. Villafuerte Jr. at Rep. Salvio Fortuno.
Sila ay suportado ng business, religious, students, peasant farmers at civic groups sa buong probinsiya.
“It seems that the influential authors of the bill will stop at nothing to railroad the measure. They may succeed, but only temporarily,” dagdag ng grupo.
Inihayag ng CCCS na nakakasa na rin ang kanilang plano para magdaos ng isang multi-sectoral march mula Naga patungong Maynila sa susunod na buwan upang tutulan ang nasabing bill.
