ANG PINAKABAGO AT pinakamalaking Asianovela ngayong 2009 ay narito na sa Pilipinas. Muli tayong pinakikilig ng Boys Over Flowers na sina Lee Min-ho (Goo Jun Pyo), Kim Hyun-joong (Yoon Ji Hoo), Kim Bum (So Yi Jung) at Kim Joon (Song Woo Bin), collectively known as F4. In the series, girls swoon at the sight of these four good-looking guys who are studying at the prestigious Shinhwa school owned by Jun Pyo’s family.
Boys Over Flowers is the Korean adaptation of the Japanese manga Hana Yori Dango. This is the third version after Taiwan’s Meteor Garden and Japan’s Hana Yori Dango.
The show is a top-rater kahit kauumpisa pa lang nitong ipalabas sa ABS-CBN. The producer Group Eight and the Korean broadcasting station KBS thanked the viewers and ABS-CBN for the support they have given the series. It will be shown right after Hotshots na tinatampukan ni Jerry Yan who played Dao Ming Si in the phenomenal hit Meteor Garden na ipinalabas sa ABS-CBN noong 2003.
According to the internet, the four guys have become more in-demand following the success of Boys Over Flowers. Lee Min-ho starred in I Am Sam series before he got the highly-coveted role as the F4’s leader Goo Jun Pyo. Among his endorsements are Levi’s, LG Teen Ring, Dunkin Donuts, Cass Beer, Etude House, Trugen and Pepsi Nex. He won New Actors Award for Television at the 45th PaekSang Arts Awards for his role in BOF.
Kim Hyun-Joong is the frontman of the popular Korean boy group SS501. Their songs Because I’m Stupid and Making a Lover are included in the official soundtracks of the series. He endorses Coca-Cola’s “Dynamic Kin”, Hot Sun Chicken, Samsung Anycall’s Haptic Pop mobile phone and Le Coq Sportif clothing brand. He received the Popularity Award for Television at the 45th PaekSang Arts Awards for his role as Yoon Ji-Hoo.
Kim Bum appeared on East of Eden series. He endorses Samsung Anycall’s Haptic Pop mobile phone, Anycall Bodyguard and LG Oz mobile phone. He will soon star in the drama series titled Dream where he will play a K-1 athlete who is released from a reformatory facility.
Kim Joon is the rapper of the Korean group T-Max na kumanta sa opening theme song na Paradise ng series. He currently endorses Samsung Anycall’s Haptic Pop mobile phone.
