“It’s not an affair movie. Ang hirap i-explain kung bakit kasi ayoko pong i-spoil. I can’t wait for you guys to see it because I practically gave my all here. I didn’t hold back. Medyo na-stress nga ako eh. I am excited for people to watch it,” paliwanag ng aktres sa PUSH at sa ibang entertainment press na umatend sa presscon ng pelikula na pinagbibidahan din nina Rhen Escano at Joem Bascon.
“It’s a psychological thriller. When I saw the script, I thought it was another ‘affair’ movie and I needed to step back, kasi I’ve done a lot of those. Parang I keep doing the same thing. I was a bit hesitant.
“But when I read the script, lahat ng naisip ko hindi nangyari sa pelikula. It’s an acting piece. That’s the reason bakit ko ito tinanggap,” dagdag pa niya.
Inamin din ng dalaga na malaking challenge on her part ang gawin ang love scenes sa pelikula lalo na ngayong panahon ng pandemic.
“Ako kasi I’ve always been a believer of making a movie show as real, I think you have to trust your director, the whole production that everything is done correctly.
“But we do have certain health protocols before we proceed on set. Kasi pag pineke mo like yung kissing scene when you watch it, it doesn’t look nice.
“And ako kasi, I trust my co-actors. If I follow, I’m sure they’re following too. For me kung hindi maiiwasan then (I’ll do it) if it calls for it,” katwiran pa ng dalaga.
Isa rin daw sa naging challenge kay Lovi na bigyan ng justice ang kanyang role.
“The challenge for me is to give it justice. The role for me is hindi biro. I was on my toes and talagang I want to be in sync with my director. It’s a different character and I want to give it justice.
“There’s one scene na tuloy-tuloy siyang ginawa, and we really prepared for that scene. I just did what I thought I should do. Pag-napanood po ninyo ito, you will understand how difficult for me to do all those things,” paliwanag ulit ni Lovi.
Samantala, bukod sa paggawa ng mga “affair movies” at dramatic films ay gusto ring gumawa ng action and musical films ni Lovi.
Aniya, “That’s one of the things that I want to do – musical. In my younger years, sa school, sumasali talaga ako sa mga school play. Actually, aside from acting, that’s one thing I want to explore. I also want to do an action film as a woman.
Kung mabibigyan ng pagkakataon ay gusto rin niyang i-explore ang Broadway.
“Oh my God! I would love to do that! Pinaka-recent na napanood ko is Waitress. I’m a huge fan of Sarah Bareilles. Seeng their adrenaline on stage, I am so scared thinking about it.
“I also wanted to work behind the camera. I want to explore music and acting but also writing. I’ve been writing, but I am too shy. Furthermore, I want to do new things. And I am not complaining because people have been supporting me in my movies,” deklara pa ng aktres.
