ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo is definitely more than just a pretty face. Aside from breaking the hearts (and perhaps the vocal codes) of screaming fans every time he goes on stage to perform, he continues to awe people with his versatile acting talents as well.
Eun Woo is playing the role of Lee Su Ho at the currently airing drama “True Beauty”. Although the webtoon series itself had garnered a lot of attention due to the lead character, Lee Su Ho’s uncanny and numerous similarities with the world wide handsome, Jin of BTS, it is no doubt that Eun Woo himself is a stunner.

EARLY LIFE
He was born Lee Dong Min in Gunpo, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea on March 30, 1997. Eun Woo attended the Suri Middle School then progressed to Suri High School for his secondary education. In 2016, he graduated from the Hanlim Multi Art School. Currently, he is enrolled at the Sungkyunkwan University and is majoring in performing arts.
Did you know that during his grade school days, he studied in the Philippines? He was an exchange student in Tagaytay for six months. He was in the country to study English.
DEBUT AND LIFE WITH ASTRO
Astro, the South Korean boy band stealing the hearts of numerous people is under the agency Fantagio Music. In his trainee days as an idol, he was the fourth trainee to be officially introduced by the team.
In February 23, 2016, the group officially debut with the mini album Spring Up. Among the members of the group, Eun Woo is called the “Face Genius” due to his crazily good looking face. In fact, even before debuting with the group, he was already an endorser for the cosmetics company “Shara Shara”.
ACTING PROJECTS
His debut as an actor was in 2014, playing the minor role of healthy Ah Reum in the film “My Brilliant Family” which stars Song Hye Kyo and Gang Dong Won. The following year, Eun Woo with the other members of Astro participated in the web drama “To Be Continued”.
In between his projects and commitments as an idol, he manages to participate in a lot of acting projects as well. A year after Astro debuted, he played the role of MJ in the television series ”Hit The Top” alongside South Korean stars Yoon Shi-yoon, Lee Se-young, Kim Min-jae and Cha Tae-hyun.
Eun Woo landed the lead role in the internationally acclaimed television series “Gangnam Beauty” in 2018, playing the role of Do Kyung Seok, a cold and distant but really caring student who doesn’t care about good looks despite being good looking himself. He also played the male lead role in ‘Rookie Historian’.
Currently, he plays the role of Lee Su Ho, at the real life adaptation of the web toon “True Beauty”.
HOSTINGS AND SHOWS
Eun woo, apart from being a good actor and a terrific idol, also happens to be a talented host. Since he debuted with Astro, he has been hosting various shows at MBC, SBS, KBS2, Vlive and Youtube. He mostly hosts music related shows such as the MBC Gayo Daejejeon, KBS Song Festival and Dream Concert.
