ELISSE JOSON has always been under my radar ever since I saw her first on the television. I find her very attractive and endearing. There is just something about her smile and those dimples of hers that makes you want to like her as a person.
Fast forward to many years, she has made a name for herself inside and outside of her work. Thriving both in career and personal life, you can say, she has it all.
Recently, she is going to be the lead star in the Vivamax movie “Habangbuhay” with reel-and-real partner McCoy De Leon. Here are some of the things you may not know about Elisse Joson.
EARLY LIFE
Elisse was born as Maria Chriselle Elisse Joson Diuco on January 6, 1996 in Balanga, Bataan. She was raised by a single mother, who works as an anesthesiologist. Elisse attended the Bataan Montessori School and finished her elementary education there.
Her family moved to the United States where she attended the Inderkum High School in California although she finished her high school education at the Quezon City Science High School. She studied AB Fashion Design and Merchandising at the De La Salle College of Saint Benilde.
CAREER BEGINNINGS
Elisse began her career appearing as a supporting actress in many dramas and shows. First, she appeared in the hit daytime television series Be Careful With My Heart as Cheska. In 2014, she played the role of Erica in the melodramatic television series Sana Bukas Pa ang Kahapon which stars Bea Alonzo and Paulo Avelino.
Elisse also appeared in the hit movie Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo which stars Xian Lim and Kim Chiu. In 2014, she can be seen as one of the mean girls in the blockbuster film She’s Dating The Gangster which stars the phenomenal love team of Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo.
NOTABLE WORKS
It was only when she joined the cast of Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7 in 2016-2017 when she catapulted to nationwide fame. After her release from the reality show, she was welcomed in the still running primetime television series Ang Probinsiyano in 2016. She played the role of Lorraine, one of the cousin of SP02 Gerona (played by John Prats).
After Probinsyano, Elisse starred in the mystery, family drama, The Good Son. This tells the story of a father carrying a dark secret from his family. Elisse here starred with Joshua Garcia, Jerome Ponce, McCoy de Leon and Nash Aguas.
Elisse also appeared as a main cast in the drama television series, Ngayon at Kailanman from 2018 to 2019. In this series, she played the roles of Roxanne and Christina Constantino.
Sandugo is also among Elisse’s notable works in 2019-2020. This drama action television series stars Ejay Falcon and Aljur Abrenica. As the main female lead, Elisse plays the role of Grace Policarpio. The show also stars Jessy Mendiola, Cherry Pie Picache. Vina Morales, Gardo Verzosa and Ariel Rivera.
The onscreen loveteam of McCoy de Leon and Elisse Joson topbilled the hugot movie ‘Sakaling Maging Tayo’.
CURRENT PROJECTS
We all know by now that McLisse is a ‘reel-to-real’ loveteam and now, they’re building a family. The two are chosen as leadstars of the romantic drama ‘Habangbuhay’ that you can now stream on Vivamax.
Elisse is set to appear in the romantic comedy television series Love In 40 Days and will be broadcasted in the Kapamilya Channel. The show will star Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte. It is set to air on May 30, 2022.
The Goodbye Girl is also among Elisse’s newest project. In this mini-series, she works with Loisa Andalio, Barbie Imperial, Maris Racal and Angelica Panganiban. Elisse plays the role of Julia.
