Julia was worn Julia Francesca Barretto Baldivia on March 10, 1997. She hails from a family that has been in showbusiness for many years. Her father is Dennis Padilla and her mother is Marjorie Barretto. She has two full siblings – Claudia and Leon and two half siblings from her mother – Dani and Erich.
She studied in Miriam College in Quezon City for her Grades 1 to 7. She finished her high school at St. Paul College in Pasig City in 2015.
CAREER BEGINNINGS
Julia Barretto first appeared in a television drama called Gulong ng Palad in 2006, playing the role of Isabelle. The following year, she appeared in the television drama Walang Kapalit as the young Melanie Santillan, opposite Piolo Pascual and Claudine Barretto, her maternal aunt.
She landed her first lead role in the fantasy television series Kokey, playing the role of Anna Calugdan, who helped the male protagonist, Bong and Kokey. Her acting chops became prominent and from there on, she continuously appeared in various projects, both in the big screen and small screen.
JULIA IN THE MOVIES
Julia first appeared in the film Para sa Hopeless Romantic in 2015, playing the role of Maria Lapuz opposite Iñigo Pascual. They acted side by side reel to real couple, Nadine Lustre and James Reid. The next year, she appeared in another hit romance comedy movie Vince and Kath and James with Joshua Garcia and Ronnie Alonte.
The love team of Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto seemed to be a hit as the pair got together again in 2017 in the movies Love You To The Stars and Back and Unexpectedly Yours. The two again appeared in another movie I Love You, Hater in 2018 with Kris Aquino. They were last seen on the thriller film ‘Block Z’.

TELEVISION SERIES
After her Palos project in 2008, where she appeared as Pamela Kiev, Julia lay low in showbusiness. After five years, she came back in 2013 and re-ignited her showbusiness career with anthologies such as Wansapanataym and Maalaala Mo Kaya.
In 2014, she got her first lead role in the drama fantasy television series Mirabella playing the characters Mira Amarillo / Bella Arboleda. It was followed the next year with the melodrama series And I Love You So where she acted opposite Miles Ocampo, Dimples Romana and Angel Aquino.
Julia Barretto was also part of the Ian Veneracion-Bea Alonzo starred ‘A Love to Last’.
The JoshLia fandom reached its peaked when the couple landed the lead roles in the television series Ngayon at Kailanman in 2018. She also starred in the digital series ‘I AM U’ on IWantTFC where she was paired with Tony Labrusca.
