My true blue Louise delos Reyes fan heart is so happy! Although she have had a promising career in her earlier years, she was sidetracked to side roles in her latter years. This, I do understand as life happens.
But what a shame would it be if she is not given the proper spotlight she truly deserves right? Louise got her spotlight back as she stars in the film The Wife with Diego Loyzaga.
Here are some of the things you may not know about dramatic actress Louise Delos Reyes.
EARLY LIFE
Louise was born as Mary Grace delos Reyes on September 1, 1992 in Tanza, Cavite. Known to friends as Grace or Lou, she got her education from the Lyceum of the Philippines University-Cavite.
CAREER BEGINNINGS
Louise first appeared in the show Ang TV2 in ABS CBN but under her real name Grace in 2001. IN 203, she appeared as young Stella in the show Ang Iibigin ay Ikaw in GMA Network. She was in the show until 2004 until she took a hiatus to focus on her education.
After a few years, she reappeared in the show Lipgloss and never stopped working. She has been a constant mainstay in the television variety show Party Pilipinas from 2010 to 2013. Her career from a child actress transitioned into a teen performer where she played various roles. She was in Reel love Presents Tween Hearts. This career trajectory led her to be one of GMA Network’s drama princesses.
NOTABLE WORKS
She was paired with Alden Richards in the show Alakdana, a drama fantasy television series where she played the lead role. This partnership with Alden led to another television drmaa romance series called One True Love.
Louise worked with veteran actors Sunshine Dizon, Angelika Dela Cruz, Jacklyn Jose and again paired with Alden in the drama television series Mundo Mo’y Akin which was aired in 2013. Another of her notable work is Kambal Sirena. This time, she was paired with Aljur Abrenica.
TRANSFER TO ABS CBN
Louise transferred to the rival network in 2017 and had appeared first in the long running action drama television series FPJ’s Anhg Probinsyano as PO3 Katrina Velasco. IN her stay in ABS CBN, she did minor roles and participated in various drama anthologies such as Maalaala Mo Kaya and Ipaglaban Mo.
Since 2018, Louise had been a constant mainstay in the variety television show ASAP where she performs regularly. In that same year, she was in the action drama television series Asintado where she worked with Julia Montes, Shaina Magdayao and Paolo Avelino.
CURRENT PROJECTS
Last year, she was in the drama adaptation of Encounter, aired in TV5 where she played the role of Crystal. She was also in the film The Housemaid, playing the character of Roxanne.
We are all excited to see her again as a leading role in the movie The Wife, produced by Vivamax. In this film, we will see a bolder Louise as she shows us another part of her. She will be working with Diego Loyzaga and Cara Gonzales in the film. Admittedly, she said that she was uncomfortable filming scenes that are very intimate. This led her to make the big leap to challenge herself as an actress and grow her craft. What led her to perform in this project flawlessly was the guidance and the care that was given to her by the production staff of the film.
When asked about the sexy scene with her co-actor, Diego Loyzaga, Louise said that she put her entire trust to the Director of the film, Denise O Hara, who was also the film’s writer. The film premiered on February 11 in Vivamax.
So please support our girl Louise and watch her film, The Wife!
