YOU MAY have seen Pauline Mendoza in a series or two even you knew it was her. She has been acting since she was a teenager, in various supporting roles as a younger version of this or that. Surely, you have seen her before if you’re a Kapuso viewer.

EARLY LIFE
Pauline Mendoza was born Pauline Bianca Cruz Esquieres on October 5, 1999 in Lucban, Quezon, Philippines.
CAREER BEGINNINGS
Pauline’s television debut was in the Philippine television drama series Little Nanay in GMA Network. Directed by Ricky Davao, Pauline landed the role of Macy and acted alongside Kris Bernal and Chlaui Malayao. The series had a total of 93 episodes.
After Little Nanay, Pauline appeared in another drama, romance and comedy series in GMA in 2016. In the show That’s My Amboy, she played the role of Maria Carmela “Maricar” Carreon-Tapang, sister of the lead character Maria Rosario “Maru” Carreon Tapang played by Barbie Forteza. In the same year, Pauline landed another acting opportunity in the show Juan Happy Love Story as the teenage version of Happy Villanueva (Heart Evangelista).
BREAKTHROUGH
She landed the role of teenage Steffi in the remake of the super popular hit South Korean drama My Love From The Star. Although it stars the bankable Jennylyn Mercado opposite Matteo Domingo, Pauline played the teenage self of the main lead, Steffi.
What is considered to be her breakthrough is when she appeared in the high rating primetime television series, Kambal, Karibal which aired in 2017 and 2018. She landed the role of the bitter twin Criselda Magpantay, the twin sister of Crisanta Magpantay, played by Bianca Umali. The show also stars Kyline Alcantara. Pauline’s portrayal of the role led to various acclaims and commendations.
OTHER TELEVISION SERIES
She continued to appear in various roles after making a name for herself in Kambal, Karibal. In 2018, she landed the role of Patricia Tolentino at the drama action series Cain at Abel played by Dingdong Dantes and Dennis Trillo.
IN the following year, Pauline appeared in two television series – Love You Two and One of the Baes. Love You Two was a drama romantic television series which starred Jennylyn Mercado and Gabby Concepcion. Pauline appeared as Zora, a guest supporting role. As for One of the Baes, which stars Ken Chan and Rita Daniela, she played the role of Kimmy Santisimo.
DRAMA ANTHOLOGIES
Pauline, apart from her numerous television series roles had appeared consistently over the years in various drama anthologies. Her debut in an anthology was with Magpakailanman, episode Tiyahin Ko, Karibal Ko, playing the role of Young Nina.
In 2017, she appeared in the comedy anthology series Dear Uge in the episodes Aso’t Pusa and Saklolo, Saklola. 2018 has been a bountiful year for her, as she had four appearances in various anthologies – Wagas, Magpakailanman and Tadhana, playing various roles. She continued to appear in episodes of Magpakailanman in 2019 and 2020.
RECENT PROJECTS
Pauline is finally given another show which features her as the only lead actress. She is set to appear in the newest television drama series Babawiin Ko Ang Lahat this month. She plays the lead role Iris Allegre Salvador, opposite veteran actors such as Carmina Villaroel, John Estrada and Tanya Garcia. The series is directed by Jules Katanyag and is set to air on February 22.
