THE LAST TIME na nakasama ko ang Charity Diva Miss Token Lizares ay sa balwarte niya sa Bacolod City noong isinama ako ng kaibigang Jobert Sucaldito for a personal visit almost two or three years. Prior to that event, matagl na namin kaibigan si Token na kung lumuluwas siya sa Manila from the City of Smiles, dumadaan yan sa bahay namin at may dala-dalang pasalubong (sweet traits ni Token ito).
After that visit, nababalitan ko na lang na tuloy-tuloy ang mga charity works niya na kadalasan sa tulong ni Jobert at Michael Pangilinan ay pumupunta sila sa Bacolod to do charity shows. The recent show nga nina Token at Michael was for the reconstruction of a church in one of the towns of Negros Occidental.
Kaya nga basta isang Token Lizares project or show, expected ko it’s for a good cause ito. Sa pagbabalita ng kasamang Mercy Lejarde na publicist ni Token, proceeds of her Bistro RJ at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati show on Saturday, July 1 will help support co-entertainment writer Richard Pinlac’s medical expenses who suffered from a stroke last year.
In the show, Token will be reunited with the “Singing Soldier” Mel Sorillo na grand champion noon sa isang pa-contest ng Eat Bulaga. Special guest ang favorite torch singer namin na si Malu Barry with the support of performers like Gem Mascarinas and Jerry Luansing.
