GIVEN THE reported scandals in which the Binay family is enmeshed, we cannot help but think of Vice Ganda.
Walang anumang paliwanag na nagmula kay Vice Ganda if his aversion had anything to do with Nancy’s color—literal or political—dahil nasa oposisyon nga naman ito nakatiket while he supported the administration by virtue of his friendship with Kris Aquino.
However, with Nancy’s senatorial victory, ang matabil na bibig ni Vice was gagged, kambyo na si bakla who refrained from speaking ill of the woman he probably hated the most, but could not explain where the hate was coming from.
Ewan kung paanong ang tinaguring Unkabogable Star had suddenly turned into a Nabahagabol ang Buntot Star.
But more than ever, ngayon mas lalong mag-ingay si Vice Ganda ng kanyang kasukdul-sukdulang pagkadismaya, this time, sa buong angkan ng mga Binay dahil sa pagkakataon ding ito, Vice Ganda—unlike in 2010—is harping on real issues para sa malawakang interes ng bayan.
Ngayon namin hinahamon si Vice Ganda to inject in his Gandang Gabi Vice ang makatuturang pananaw tungkol sa mga isyu ng bayan. After all, mag-aaral siya ng political science sa FEU, ‘di ba?
Undergrad nga lang.
LAST WEEK nag-pilot ang daily but with different weekly stories na Seasons of Love ng GMA. The curtains opened ‘ika nga with Gabby Garcia and Protégé alumus Ruru Madrid via a story of gender reversal.
Sinundan ito ng kuwento starring Geoff Eigenmann, Mike Tan and Louise de los Reyes na kinunan pa sa Vigan, Ilocos Sur.
So far, both episodes carry catch titles which appeal to young lovers; with scenes a mirror of reality; and with a rom-com attack na pang-wide screen.
But best of all, ang programang ‘yon ay mala-4 P’s ng DSWD, at sa pagkakataong ito, PANTAWID sa mga PERSONALITIES ng network na walang PIRMING PROYEKTO. For now.
Seasons of Love, at least, is a temporary job provider to sustain a Kapuso artist’s currently idle career para hindi naman sila mawala sa kamalayan ng publiko.
