Marco Polo Ignacio is a violinist, arranger, songwriter and an educator. Nakakabilib na kaya niyang pagsabayin ang love niya sa arts at pagtuturo ng music sa kanyang mga estudyante.
Hailing from the municipality of Santa Maria, Bulacan, Philippines, he graduated from the University Of Santo Tomas Conservatory Of Music with a degree of Bachelor in Music, Major in Composition. He first learned the piano at age 5 and took the violin as his main instrument at age 7.
He enrolled first as a violin major in the conservatory, and later shifted to composition in his third year (also taken some music education units), due to his growing interest in arranging, orchestration and composition.
In 2006, Marco became the district rondalla instructor of Sta. Maria, Bulacan. He arranged simple rondalla pieces that later came to be compiled as his methods book for the rondalla ensemble.
Ngayon ay mina-manage na si Marco ng Handpicked Management headed by Eli Luna. Ayon sa kanya, “You’ll love his works when you hear it, very innovative music,” papuri niya sa independent artist.
As an educator, nagtuturo ng Music si Marco sa Fortuno F. Halili National Agricultural School (FFHNAS). Nakagawa na rin siya ng mga sikat na musika para sa rondalla tulad ng Titibo-Tibo, Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Mundo, and Buwan.
The rondalla’s video performance of Mundo went viral and was featured in 24 Oras (GMA 7). It was also shared in various news pages on Facebook and blogs, making the school rondalla of FFHNAS well-known. Naging daan din ito para magkaroon ng ibang TV guestings.
Ayon kay Marco nang ma-interbyu namin siya, tuwing weekend (Sabado at Linggo) siya tumatanggap ng gigs including pagtugtog sa kasal. Ang weekdays ay ginugugol naman niya sa pagtuturo.
Rewarding din daw ang pagiging musician niya dahil bukod sa kumikita siya nang sapat ay masarap din sa pakiramdam na naa-appreciate ang kanyang musika.
