ISA SA mga real-life showbiz couples na tahimik at walang napapabalitang intriga sina Melissa Ricks at Paul Jake Castillo who have been together for more than a year now. Nakakatuwa ang dalawang ito dahil sa kabila ng mga isyu ng hiwalayan sa apat na sulok ng showbiz ay nanatili pa ring matibay ang kanilang pagsasama.
Sabi nga noon ni Melissa in an interview, “He really makes me happy. ‘Pag stressed out ka sa work, it’s good to have someone to talk to and to be with.”
Both are products of reality shows, sino ang mag-aakalang mauuwi sa totoong buhay ang kanilang pagkakaibigan? (Melissa was a runner-up in Star Circle Teen Quest Season 1 while Paul Jake was a housemate of Pinoy Big Brother Double Up edition). Marami ang nagtatanong kung kailan kaya mauuwi sa altar ang kanilang pag-iibigan.
Ayon sa artikulo ni Bernie Franco sa Push.com.ph, the pair declared there are no wedding bells yet for them during the interview for their show Game On: The Chevrolet Sonic Celebrity Challenge on Studio 23 which will be aired on April 6 and 13. Hindi naman daw sila nagmamadali although Melissa once told Paul Jake about her dream house.
“’Di kami nag-i-expect ng anything from each other. We’re just enjoying, having fun with each other. Iisipin mo along the way, marami pang mga pagsubok na pagdaraanan. There are so many things that can happen pa. ‘Wag nga raw tayong magsalita nang tapos. Baka naman ‘pag nagsalita ‘di mangyari, ma-disappoint tayo. We don’t expect anything from each other. We just enjoy [each other’s] company and have fun and [we don’t] pressure each other,” Melissa explained.
Ang ideal marrying age raw ni Melissa ay 26 to 27 years old. Medyo matagal pa ang hihintayin nila because she is only 23. Despite her young age ay mature na ang kanyang pananaw pagdating sa kasal. “When you get married, you have to be committed talaga and you have to make the right decision. ‘Di naman biro magpakasal, ‘di ba? You’re going to spend your lives together.”
On his part, Paul Jake wants to be stable first before getting married. “I want to get married when I can stand on my own, when I can support my family. I just want to make sure I can support the family.”
Kaibigan, usap tayo muli!
