JANUARY NA naman. Bagong buwan, bagong taon at bagong simula para sa ating lahat. Isang mahabang paglalakbay na kung ano ang mangyayari sa hinaharap ay hindi natin alam. We can only pray and hope for the best. Despite some setbacks last year, Filipinos remain resilient, cheerful, and hopeful. Atsana ay maging ganito pa rin tayong lahat ngayong 2012.
Katulad ng Roman god na si Janus, ang mundo ng showbiz ay may dalawa ring mukha: the crying masked face and the laughing one. The masks mirror both the happiness and the melancholia that happen in showbiz and in the lives of its denizens.
I asked some stars what is the most important thing they would like to receive in 2012 and why. Here are their answers:
Bianca Gonzalez – Good health for me and my loved ones.
Sitti – For 2012, I think I’d like to have the opportunity to record and release an album in the international market. It’s every singer’s dream to be good and great enough to be given such a privilege. I have been praying to the Lord constantly for this and it’s my hope that 2012 would be the year it happens.
Drew Arellano – Would like to receive more wisdom for me to find out clearer what my purpose in life is.
Gelli de Belen – I would like to receive more opportunities career-wise and travel-wise. I love to travel especially with my family so I hope we get the chance to do so this year. But the most important thing I would like to receive in 2012 would be the best health and constant safety of my family.
Amy Perez – I have been praying for my annulment every year. Iyan ang wish and prayer ko.
Tintin Bersola-Babao – A third baby! Another show. A windfall of blessings.
K-La Rivera – Iyong prayers and hopes ko po ngayon ay for my mom to move here to thePhilippinesin 2012. Mas okay kung lahat ng pamilya ko po lilipat dito pero baka 2013 na lang po iyan.
Direk GB Sampedro – Good health and more projects.Sanaa new movie project.
Duncan Ramos – I would love to receive a nomination or best, an award from the Awit Awards because a recognition to my music would mean the world to me.
Hermes Bautista – A better career. I am hoping to be given more opportunities so I can improve my acting skills.
