Hindi lang isang rapper si Young JV but he is also an artist with a mission. Bilang anak ni retired PAF Col. Eduardo “Red” Kapunan ay na-inspire siya sa mga kuwento ng kanyang ama noong siya ay isang combat pilot sa Mindanao and when he took part in the EDSA 1 People Power Revolution. “The learnings about the pains of war stirred in me a real yearning and a true calling to be an artist-soldier fighting for peace and love in our troubled world of today,” sabi ni Young JV. Kahit hindi siya sumunod sa yapak ng kanyang ama because his heart belongs elsewhere, I’m sure his father is very proud of him because Young JV sings and raps about a cause close to his dad’s heart: Peace.
